Terrapin Creek Lodge offers a truly distinctive experience with its naturally beautiful and private 5-acre waterfront setting on Terrapin Creek. Less than a two-hour drive from Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville and Chattanooga, Northeast Alabama’s Appalachian foothills provide a breath-taking backdrop for the creek where wildlife can be seen from the Main Lodge, cabins, large outdoor decks and fireplaces.

For guests, Terrapin Creek beckons to be explored. Over 50 feet wide in front of the Lodge, Terrapin Creek is a Class I-II recreational stream that provides an excellent, family friendly floating experience. Canoes and kayaks can easily be rented from Terrapin Outdoor Center. For anglers, Terrapin Creek fishing is known for its spotted, largemouth and redeye bass and Weiss Lake – ‘Crappie Capital of the World’ - is just up the road. For golf, cycling and hiking enthusiasts, the Lodge is a short drive from the public Robert Trent Jones’ Silver Lakes Golf Course, the Pinhoti National Recreation Trail, the Little River Canyon and the new rails-to-trails Chief Ladiga Bike Trail. For Chief Ladiga/Silver Comet Bike Trail users, shuttle service is available to the Lodge. Antique and flea market shopping are not far away.
